Gemini has been attracting much interest on the British jazz scene over the past few years. Their debut album Emergence was released in 2007 and marked the launch of Loop Records.
The music, written by vibes player and bandleader Jim Hart, fuses melodic lyricism with complex rhythmic counterpoint and free improvisation. It features the wonderfully talented Ivo Neame on alto saxophone and the much sought after rhythm section of Jasper Hoiby on Bass and drummer Dave Smith.
