Monocled Man
A powerful-new trumpet-led project from rising star Rory Simmons. Simmons steps out from his acclaimed Fringe Magnetic nonet to play some fiery post-jazz fusion. Downtown-ish new guitar/trumpet-led trio Monocled Man features Troyka axeman Chris Montague and Kairos 4tet drummer Jon Scott. These 3 exciting musicians have come together on this project to create a stripped down raw sound, somewhere between Tiny Bell Trio and Chicago Underground Duo.
“harmonically audacious phraseology and suave sound”

Mike Hurley – "..a truly thrilling pianist with a mercurial style full of lightning fast flights of fancy and melodic switchbacks.."
